Bible Studies Available at Immanuel Crystal Lake

All adults, whether young or seasoned, are warmly invited to participate in Bible study at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crystal Lake. Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m.—during our Education Hour—offer an excellent opportunity for parents to engage with God’s Word while children attend their own age-appropriate classes. Additionally, we invite you to join us for Bible study on Tuesdays, providing another meaningful occasion to explore Scripture.

 Our Bible study gatherings are designed to help participants deepen their understanding of Scripture, strengthen their faith, and foster Christian fellowship.

Key aspects of Bible study at Immanuel Lutheran Crystal Lake include:

    Romans is a foundational book that lays out the great teachings of the Christian faith.  Some of the topics covered include: the condition and resulting dilemma of mankind; the characteristics of God that govern our future; why we need God’s salvation; and how the believer is freed from sin, law, and death to live a victorious Spirit filled life. A practical book, Romans answers questions all believers face, such as: What is the good news of the Gospel of God and what does it mean? How important is obedience and sin in the Christian life? After salvation, how do we overcome our sinful desires and live a victorious life free from bondage?  Join this Bible study and learn what God has to say in one of the most important books in the Bible on the essential truths of the Chirstian faith.

    The Book of Ezekiel proclaims God's uncompromising judgment against his rebellious people - but also his promise of restoration if they repent.  The Old Testament book named after him portrays how Ezekiel sought to trust God and consistently obey Him despite difficult circumstances. Ezekiel expressed to God his honest reactions, emotions, and questions. He trusted in the Lord, and the Lord gave him strength, courage, and faithfulness.
