At Immanuel, we love families and are eager to encourage them in their walk with Jesus. Through various opportunities and events we strive to equip both children and parents to learn, believe, accept and share the love and glory of God! We are committed to partnering with you as a parent to teach your child about the love God has for them. God values your children and so do we!
Programs
Sunday School
Potty trained 3 year olds through 5th grade Sunday School meets 9:15-10:15 a.m. during the school year.
American Heritage Girls
Faith, fun, and service for girls ages 5-18! Our mission as Troop IL5140 is to purposefully instruct young women and equip them with a firm foundation in Christ.
MOPS
Mothers of Pre-Schoolers encourages mothers with children ages birth to kindergarten. MOPS meets Tuesday mornings from 9:00-11:00 am during the school year. Contact Dana Robinson for more information. drobinson@immanuelcl.org
Activities
Vacation Bible School
Mark your calendars for June 10-14, 2024 as we dive into friendship with God during Scuba! Registration for participants and volunteers is opens on March 1st. Plan on registering early — only 300 participant spots available.
Upward Sports
Upward promotes the discovery of Jesus through a uniquely designed sports experience that adapts and expands as players grow in their personal athletic journeys.
Family Resources
Immanuel has a number of resources available for families, including:
Childcare- available every Sunday morning for children ages 6 months to 5 years old while parents are worshiping or going to Education Hour. The nursery is located on the first floor (preschool room).
Wiggle Room– This room is available as a “break room” for parent and child to visit during worship. Books and toys are provided for you. Located in the main hall.
Nursing Room and Baby Changing Stations– The nursing room is located the Library — a room behind the main desk labeled “nursing room.” Changing tables are available in the restrooms on the main level.
Bible Busy Bags - Worship at Immanuel is for the whole family! Bible Busy Bags are available in the back of the Commons for your children to borrow and use during worship.

Trunk or Treat
Dress up and bring the whole family to Immanuel. Join us for games, food, Bible story time, candy, decorated trunks and more!!
Easter Egg Hunt
A family favorite at Immanuel! Hunt for eggs outside, and indoors join in crafts, snacks, and Bible story time.
