Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Lenten season—a time of reflection, repentance, and renewal in the Christian faith. On February 18, we invite you to join Immanuel Lutheran Crystal Lake for one of our Ash Wednesday worship services, both including Holy Communion.

Ash Wednesday is a significant day in the church year, calling Christians to pause and examine their hearts as they enter the forty days of Lent leading up to Easter. During the service, participants receive the imposition of ashes on their foreheads, a symbol of humility and a reminder of our need for God’s grace and forgiveness. Through prayer, scripture, and Holy Communion, we come together to seek God’s presence and begin this sacred season with worship and reflection.
