You are warmly invited to join us at Immanuel Crystal Lake as we journey together through the Lenten season, from Ash Wednesday to Easter. This sacred time offers opportunities for reflection, worship, and spiritual growth for individuals and families alike.

Each Sunday, we gather for worship to explore the meaning of Lent and prepare our hearts for Holy Week, culminating in the celebration of Easter. Throughout Lent, we offer Wednesday evening hands-on Lent family devotional activities for families, Lenten meals and midweek worship services designed to deepen our faith and sense of community.

Special opportunities include Stations of the Cross for middle and high school students, a devotional booklet for children, and our "Eggs-ploring Easter" event, providing engaging ways for all ages to experience the hope and renewal of this season.

Sunday Morning Worship

God chose to love us first, and now we can chose to love Him and others in return. This sermon series explores 1 Corinthians 13, showing us that love is more than a feeling - it’s a verb, a choice we make to reflect God’s love in practical ways. Join us as we discover what it means to love patiently, kindly, unselfishly, forgivingly, truthfully and dedicatedly, culminating in the ultimate demonstration of God’s bondless love on Good Friday. Because God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, we are now called to love as He first loved us.

Journey through Lent as biblical and contemporary voices unites across time to share their struggles, questions and faith. Through dynamic presentations, discover how the challenges faced by those who walked with Jesus mirror our own experiences today - from wilderness wanderings and overwhelming burdens to cultivating faith practicing forgiveness and offering costly love. These timeless stories remind us that God’s presence and grace bridge every generation, meeting with us in our weakness and calling us to follow Christ. Join us each Wednesday as we glimpse both the ancient and modern faces of discipleship during this Lenten season.

Hands - On Lent

5 Wednesdays of Lent 5:30 p.m. - 6 p.m. | The Well at Immanuel Crystal Lake
Join us at Immanuel Crystal Lake on the 5 Wednesdays of Lent for family devotions, songs and an activity that will help your children come face-to-face with the Easter story. Then stay for a Lenten dinner.

Lenten Devotions For Kids!

Available at Immanuel Crystal Lake Church beginning February 15th
Pick up your “All Around Jerusalem” devotional booklet to complete this Lenten season. These short and easy devotions help you get into the Bible with your children each day for 40 days. Each day you can place a sticker on your Jerusalem display and follow Jesus on His journey through the city on His way to the cross.
Palm Sunday Prayer Stations

Middle School and High School students and their parents are invited to participate in prayer stations on Palm Sunday in place of their Verge or Confirmation classes during education hour.

Eggs-ploring Easter is more than an egg hunt. Easter will be explained for young Christians through crafts and activities using all five senses.
